The Kansas City Chiefs have signed kicker Harrison Butker to a contract extension, the team announced Thursday.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the five-year extension will pay Butker approximately $20 million.

Since making his debut at the start of the 2017 season, Butker has been one of the NFL’s more efficient kickers, converting 62 of 69 field goals he’s attempted (89.9 per cent).

The 23-year-old has also been efficient on extra-point attempts throughout his career as well, converting 93 of 97 attempts (95.9 per cent).
