INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts signed rookie linebacker Antonio Morrison on Friday.

Morrison was Indy’s fourth-round draft pick out of Florida last weekend.

The 6-foot-1, 232-pound Morrison should add depth to a linebacking corps that lost starter Jerrell Freeman in free agency and former first-round pick Bjoern Werner during the off-season. Werner was released.

As a four-year starter at Florida, Morrison had 294 tackles, 4 1/2 sacks, forced three fumbles, one fumble recovery and one interception.

The Colts signed six of their eight draft picks before Friday’s rookie minicamp opened at the team headquarters.
