New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees made some history in his team’s game against the Atlanta Falcons Sunday, becoming the NFL’s all-time leader in completions made.
With a 17-yard completion to wide receiver Michael Thomas, the 39-year-old future Hall of Famer passed Packers legend Brett Favre with his 6,301st completion, putting him in sole possession of first-place in the NFL’s record books.
Brees is in reach of another potential milestone this season. The Saints quarterback trails Favre by less than 1,000 yards for second all-time in career passing yardage.
