PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Eagles have hired Ryan Day to be their quarterbacks coach.
The 35-year-old Day replaces Bill Musgrave after he left to become the offensive co-ordinator for the Oakland Raiders.
Day is the third quarterbacks coach in three years under Chip Kelly. Bill Lazor left after one season to be Miami’s offensive co-ordinator.
Day was a three-year starter at quarterback at New Hampshire when Kelly was the offensive co-ordinator for the school. He joins the Eagles after a two-year stint as the offensive co-ordinator and quarterbacks coach at Boston College.
Day previously was the wide receivers coach at Boston College from 2007-11. He was the offensive co-ordinator and wide receivers coach at Temple in 2012.
