FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons have activated receiver Drew Davis from the physically unable to perform list.

The Falcons (4-6) announced the move Friday heading into their game against the Cleveland Browns.

Receiver Freddie Martino was waived to make room for Davis, who has 16 receptions for 216 yards and three touchdowns in 32 career games for Atlanta. He also has played a key role on special teams and will help fill the void left by Antone Smith’s season-ending injury.

Davis missed training camp and the first 10 games after foot surgery in July. He has been practicing the last two weeks and the team faced a Monday deadline to decide whether to add him to the 53-man roster.
