If you’re looking for the helpers in the wake of yet another tragedy, you’ll find one in J.J. Watt.

According to reports, the Houston Texans defensive end has offered to cover all funeral costs for the victims of Friday’s shooting that killed nine students and a teacher at Santa Fe High School near Houston, Texas.

This is not the first time Watt has stepped up to offer a helping hand to those in need in his neighbourhood. The Wisconsin native and Houston resident raised more than $37 million for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts last year.

Watt, 29, received the NFL’s 2017 Walter Payton Man of the Year Award in recognition for his ongoing charitable efforts.
