Texans superstar J.J. Watt’s flood relief fund for the city of Houston has raised over $30 million as of Saturday morning.
Watt shared the good news on Twitter with a link to the fundraising page.
The three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year started his campaign on Aug. 27 with an initial goal of raising $200,000 to help Houston recover from disastrous flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey.
The $200,000 was raised within hours, and the goal was promptly raised to $500,000. The amount raised continued to surge as various celebrities and personalities pitched in.
