Sanchez unable to run on repaired knee

New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez says he is unable to run on his surgically repaired left knee six weeks after the procedure, but will "definitely" be ready to take the field when training camp begins in July.
Sanchez had surgery to repair the patella ligament Feb. 17 and said Thursday he’s working on gaining more leg strength and range of motion. He added doctors are pleased with his recovery and they have been "cautiously aggressive" with the rehabilitation.
Sanchez, who led New York to the AFC title game as a rookie, dislocated the kneecap during fall practice before his junior season at Southern California. He aggravated the injury against Carolina last Nov. 29.
