BALTIMORE — Injured running backs Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson have been placed on the inactive list by the Oakland Raiders for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.

McFadden and Goodson rank 1-2 on the team’s rushing list. Both have sprained right ankles, leaving Taiwan Jones — who has one carry for 2 yards this year — as the likely starter.

Oakland also put defensive tackle Richard Seymour (leg) on the inactive list, along with backup offensive tackle Khalif Barnes (groin), guard Lucas Nix and defensive end Jack Crawford.

Baltimore’s inactives included defensive end Pernell McPhee (thigh), offensive lineman Ramon Harewood and safety Christian Thompson.

DE Kelsay, DB Williams inactive for Bills

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — The Buffalo Bills are missing three starting defensive players with end Chris Kelsay and cornerback Aaron Williams joining end Mark Anderson on the sideline against the New England Patriots.

Kelsay has a neck injury, Williams hurt his right knee the previous Sunday and Anderson had a setback from left knee surgery and missed his fourth straight game.

Also inactive for Buffalo are linebacker Kirk Morrison, defensive back Mana Silva, offensive tackle Thomas Welch and quarterback Tavaris Jackson.

The Patriots got one starting safety back. Steve Gregory had missed four games with a hip injury, but Patrick Chung was out for the third game with a shoulder injury. Tight end Aaron Hernandez misses his second straight game with a sprained right ankle. The other inactive Patriots are defensive linemen Trevor Scott, Ron Brace and Jake Bequette, linebacker Tracy White and defensive back Malcolm Williams.

QB Locker in starting lineup for Titans

MIAMI (AP) — Quarterback Jake Locker is in the starting lineup for the Tennessee Titans as expected against the Miami Dolphins for his first game in more than a month.

Titans coach Mike Munchak said Friday that Locker was ready to go barring an unexpected development.

Among others active for the Titans on Sunday are linebackers Patrick Bailey (ribs) and Colin McCarthy (right ankle), receiver Kendall Wright (elbow) and cornerback Tommie Campbell (left ankle). All had been questionable. Offensive tackle Byron Stingily (back) and third-string quarterback Rusty Smith are inactive.

Dolphins reserve defensive tackle Tony McDaniel is active. He had been listed as questionable with a knee injury. Reserve tight end Jeron Mastrud (hamstring) is inactive.

Bucs WR-KR Benn inactive vs. Chargers

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Tampa Bay receiver and kick returner Arrelious Benn is inactive for Sunday’s game against the San Diego Chargers after not practicing all week because of a shoulder injury.

Running back Michael Smith, safety Cody Grimm, cornerback Danny Gorrer, linebackers Jacob Cutrera and Najee Goode and guard Roger Allen also are inactive for the Buccaneers.

Tackle Jared Gaither, receiver Seyi Ajirotutu, cornerback Chris Carr, safety Brandon Taylor, linebackers Jonas Mouton and Antwan Barnes and tight end Ladarious Green are inactive for the Chargers.

Rookie Robinson starts at centre for Bengals

CINCINNATI, Ohio (AP) — Rookie Trevor Robinson starts at centre for the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, giving the New York Giants’ defensive line an advantage.

Both Robinson and veteran centre Jeff Faine have been bothered by hamstring injuries. They had to split time during a 31-23 loss to Denver last week.

Receiver Brandon Tate starts a second straight game for Armon Binns, bothered by an ankle injury.

The Giants had their usual starting lineup even though several players were limited during the week. Receiver Hakeem Nicks was limited in practice by a knee injury, and running back Ahmad Bradshaw is in the lineup despite a foot injury that forced him to skip practice on Friday.

Former Bengals linebacker Keith Rivers is inactive for the Giants.

CB Thurmond inactive for Seahawks, LB Maybin inactive for Jets

SEATTLE (AP) — Cornerback Walter Thurmond will not be making his season debut for the Seattle Seahawks after being activated from the physically unable to perform list.

Thurmond is inactive for Sunday’s game against the Jets. Seattle was already without linebacker K.J. Wright and guard James Carpenter, both out with concussions. The Seahawks also are minus reserve defensive tackle Clinton McDonald, who was questionable with a groin injury.

The Jets made backup outside linebacker Aaron Maybin inactive. New York had already announced that reserve running back Joe McKnight and nose tackle Kendrick Ellis would not play. McKnight has an ankle injury and Ellis a knee injury.
