Every Saturday, Sportsnet fantasy analyst Andy McNamara will answer all your fantasy football questions ahead of Sunday’s slate of games. If you’re looking for fantasy football advice, message him on Twitter using #AskAndy.

The fantasy football playoffs are in full swing and hopefully, you’re rolling along. However, if you’ve been eliminated, keep the integrity of your league, have some pride, and finish out the consolation bracket strong. Remember, there’s always next year and there’s still money to be won in DFS contests.

There were a ton of questions heading into Week 15, so let’s ‘Lambeau Leap’ right in.

From @VTecOverseer – Love hearing ya on Fan 960 Calgary! Might as well put you to work with a fantasy question! Do I play Higbee this week or is there another tight end? Standard, Semi-final game. Thanks! #AskAndy

After barely utilizing the tight end over a season-and-a-half, all of a sudden the Rams are calling Tyler Higbee’s number often. Fourteen receptions and over 100 yards in each of the past two games cannot be ignored. Plus, they face a Cowboys group giving up the 10th-most fantasy points to the position.

Ian Thomas, Kaden Smith or Kyle Rudolph are other waiver targets to keep an eye on.

From robertfgray1 – Thanks for your help this year. Who should I start at QB in the semi’s Watson or Brees? Leaning towards Brees after what he did last week and what Tampa did to Indy. Wanted to get your thoughts. #AskAndy

This is a terrific problem to have, and you’re going to be just fine with either. I’ll choose Brees here as the veteran is a different animal in New Orleans. He’s exploded for six total touchdowns versus a rock-solid 49ers defence last week and is rounding into playoff form. The Colts pass defence is good, not great, and I expect Brees to light it up in the dome.

From @TiGroulx86 – #AskAndy It is playoffs time. Two part question for you: Need to pick 2 out of the 3: Freeman, Drake or Miles Sanders. 2nd part- for my flex who should i then go with? A J Brown or Darius Slayton. My opponent has Tannehill so I was leaning towards Brown a little more. Thank you, much appreciated.

Jordan Howard is trending towards missing Sunday’s action. If so, then slide in Sanders for sure. Freeman’s been limited in practice with a knee ailment and that means you need to start the healthier, less appealing, running back in Drake.

For your second question: Slayton has the better matchup, but Eli could easily favour one of the several other receiving options, whereas Brown’s become Tannehill’s go-to target. Get down with Brown!

From @hokeyman –#AskAndy out of these three RBs, which 2 would you start: A. Jones, Fournette, Carson. Thanks!

Slot in Green Bay’s Aaron Jones who emerged from a two-game slump last weekend to the tune of 134-rushing yards, a TD, and 33.20 fantasy points in PPR. Don’t let the Bears run defence scare you as the unit’s given up the 17th-most fantasy points to running backs in 2019.

I’ll give a slight edge to Fournette over Carson since the Jaguars RB protects the ball better. Both are primed to go off for big afternoons though against weak opponents, so you should be fine either way.

From @MattyD613 – Please help! With Ridley out I have to choose between Conley or Watkins this week for a chance to make the finals, your input is invaluable #AskAndy

I don’t love either, but out of the two at least Sammy Watkins gets a consistent target share.

Not knowing your waiver wire availability take a look at my “Under the Wire” column that comes out every Tuesday on sportsnet.ca.

From G-Unit on Twitter – #AskAndy I am looking for advice. I have a RB and WR position to fill.
RB: Sony Michel or D. Freeman, DeAndre Washington
WR: Will Fuller or Michael Gallup

I’ll begin at wide receiver. No doubt Gallup between the two, as he’ll benefit from Jalen Ramsey likely shadowing Amari Cooper.

This is a rough trio of running backs. Washington’s viability depends solely on if Josh Jacobs suits up or not. Freeman is banged up and faces San Francisco’s daunting defensive line. Sony Michel has the best matchup versus the Bengals, but it’s tough to trust a guy who hasn’t sniffed double-digit fantasy points since Week 7.

For your sake hopefully Jacobs sits, and you start Washington. Otherwise, cross your fingers with Michel.

From @iPigz76 – #AskAndy I’m in the semi-finals – can start 2 of these 3 – run cmc, gordon & ekeler.

Christian McCaffrey is an absolute must-start no matter what the situation. Interesting conundrum between Chargers teammates here against a nasty Vikings front-seven. If your league is PPR then roll with Ekeler, otherwise Gordon.

From @wholeshowmonroe – I had Chark, Evans, and Ridley as my 3 WR’s. I hit waivers big, need to choose 3 from: Ross, I. Ford, J Watson, Bourne, Westbrook. Also have a Flex to fill – Jamaal Williams or Patrick Laird. It’s 0.5ppr #askandy

All three of your starting wide receivers injured, ouch! Stay clear of John Ross. His foot injury still isn’t 100 per cent, he’s a boom or bust TD dependent option even when healthy, and – oh yeah – the Bengals are playing a New England defence allowing the fewest fantasy points to wide receivers!

Instead of Ford or Watson ,see if A.J. Brown, Breshad Perriman and Russell Gage are available on your waiver wire. Dede Westbrook is a decent choice against the Raiders.

At running back, if your league was full PPR then I would choose Laird, but he is so dependant on touches over yards I can’t do it. Roll with Williams here.
