The Chicago Bears will be looking to extend their lead atop the NFC North standings when they visit the Miami Dolphins on Sunday as 3-point favourites on the NFL Week 6 odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
Chicago enjoyed a bye last weekend after tallying three consecutive wins, and maintains sole possession of first place in the NFC North entering Week 6 for the first time since 2010, sporting a 3-1 record going into Sunday afternoon’s matchup at Hard Rock Stadium.
The Bears have emerged as one of the surprise stories of the season on the strength of a stingy defence that has surrendered a meagre 16.3 points per game, while limiting opposing rushers to an NFL-best 64.0 yards per game.
Chicago also demonstrated a surprisingly explosive offence in their last outing, crushing the previously undefeated Tampa Bay Buccaneers 48-10 as 3-point home chalk in their Week 4 matchup.
Conversely, it has been a tough two weeks for the Dolphins, who are coming off a 27-17 loss in Cincinnati on Sunday to fall to 3-2. Miami opened the season with three straight wins, but has struggled since.
The Dolphins were outclassed by New England in a 38-7 loss as 6.5-point road underdogs in Week 4, and blew a 17-point lead in last weekend’s loss to the Bengals as 6-point road underdogs, but have taken three of four from Chicago since 2002, according to the OddsShark NFL Database.
Elsewhere on the NFL Week 6 odds, the Cleveland Browns try to stay undefeated on home turf as they host the Los Angeles Chargers as 1-point underdogs, while the Buffalo Bills travel to Houston as 10-point underdogs.
The Browns went to overtime for the third time this season in last Sunday’s 12-9 win over Baltimore as 3-point home underdogs, and will be aiming to remain unbeaten in four straight at FirstEnergy Stadium for the first time since 2007. The Chargers are coming off a pair of SU home wins, and are an uneven 3-4 SU in their past seven road dates, but have won and covered in three straight as road chalk.
The Bills are pegged as massive underdogs in a third straight road date, and have posted SU and against the spread losses in their past two road dates with the Texans.
NFL Week 6 kicks off on Thursday night as the struggling Philadelphia Eagles visit the New York Giants as 3-point betting favourites, while action returns to London on Sunday afternoon as the Seattle Seahawks battle the Oakland Raiders at Wembley Stadium as 3-point chalk.
