Polian, Dungy team up for USA Football committee

INDIANAPOLIS — Newly elected Hall of Famer Bill Polian and former Colts coach Tony Dungy are teaming up on USA Football’s new advisory committee.

The group, announced Monday, will make recommendations about on-field instruction, ways to maximize player development, playing standards, rule changes and practice and safety guidelines.

The other committee members are coaches David Cutcliffe of Duke, Pat Fitzgerald of Northwestern, Bob Stoops of Oklahoma and David Shaw of Stanford; Oliver Luck, the NCAA’s newest executive; former NFL players Merril Hoge, Roman Oben, Jeff Saturday and George Teague; American Football Coaches Association executive director Grant Teaff; former college football ref Bill LeMonnier; high school coaches Gabe Infante, Chuck Kyle, John Roderique and Bruce Rollinson; and Pop Warner executive Sam Mutz.

Polian will chair the committee.
