It’s official: Mike Vick has pulled off one of the biggest 180-degree turns in sports history.
After hitting rock bottom, the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback feels like he’s sitting atop the football world. Despite making headlines for his work out of the bullpen, many still doubted Vick’s ability to become a starter again.
But after his four-touchdown (three in the air, one on the ground) performance against Jacksonville Sunday, those doubters are turning into believers…and rightfully so.
Last season, Philadelphia head coach Andy Reid helped save Vick, and now it’s Vick who’s returning the favour.
When Reid called an audible last week and announced Vick was his No. 1, it was a decision that stunned many. Some also hinted Reid was putting his job on the line.
Right now, Reid’s looking like a genius.
Regardless of what happens the rest of the way, it’s nice to see Vick getting all the attention for all the right reasons. I know there’s still a lot of you who aren’t fans because of his past, but why can’t we leave it there?
Everyone in life deserves a second chance and Vick is making the most of his.
Not bad for a guy who was all but written off and don’t be surprised to see Vick add more chapters to what is already a great story.
