The Los Angeles Rams can clinch a berth in the playoffs with a win on Sunday when they visit the Detroit Lions as 10-point favourites on the NFL Week 13 odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Los Angeles enjoyed a well-deserved bye last weekend after outlasting the Kansas City Chiefs in a 54-51 win in Week 11 and sits four games up on the second-place Seattle Seahawks in the race for top spot in the NFC West going into Sunday afternoon’s matchup at Ford Field.

With a 10-1 straight-up record, Los Angeles has emerged as a legitimate championship favourite, and entered the week trailing only the New Orleans Saints as a +320 bet on the Super Bowl 53 odds. The Rams have built their success on an explosive offence that has averaged 35.4 points per game. However, the team has also surrendered big point totals, particularly over its past three outings, fuelling a dismal 1-5-2 against the spread run.

The Lions return to action following a 23-16 loss to Chicago as three-point home underdogs on Thanksgiving Day, and have now dropped four of five straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS), effectively extinguishing their playoff hopes.

Detroit has alternated between wins and losses in its past four home dates, including a 20-19 win over Carolina as a four-point underdog two weeks ago, and has covered twice while taking three straight from the Rams on home turf, according to the OddsShark NFL Database.

Elsewhere on the NFL Week 13 odds, the Seahawks look to continue their late-season march into playoff contention as they host the San Francisco 49ers as 10-point favourites.

As well, the Bears will try to extend their surprising lead atop the NFC North with a sixth straight win as they visit the New York Giants as four-point favourites, while the second-place Minnesota Vikings search for their first win in New England since 2000 in their clash with the Patriots as 5.5-point underdogs.

The Chiefs will try to get back in the win column when they visit the last-place Oakland Raiders as massive 15-point chalk. At 9-2, Kansas City remains atop the AFC West standings, and joins New England as a short +600 wager on the Super Bowl odds.

However, the Chiefs now sit just one game up on the Los Angeles Chargers, who ride a 7-1 SU surge into possibly their toughest test to date this season, a Sunday Night Football matchup with the AFC North-leading Pittsburgh Steelers as 3.5-point road underdogs.

The Chargers have dropped nine of 11 SU to Pittsburgh but have surrendered just 12.33 points during a three-game road win streak.
