Hicks, 26, spent his first four seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles after being drafted in the third round (84th overall) in the 2015 draft. Hicks had 91 tackles, three sacks and six QB hits in 12 games for the Eagles last season.
The former Texas Longhorn has shown plenty of promise in his time as a pro, but injuries have limited Hicks to just 43 out of a possible 64 regular-season games.
Hicks joins a revamping Cardinals defence that has already signed former Baltimore Ravens pass rusher Terrell Suggs.
