Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz is not expected to be back for a few more weeks, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

Wentz was ruled out for the Eagles against the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday as he continues to work his way back from his knee injury.

Eagles coach Doug Pedersen claimed Wentz was “close” to a return, but was not medically cleared for contact as of Sunday. Clearly Philadelphia doesn’t want to rush him back.

In 2017, Wentz started 13 games and threw for more than 3,200 yards, 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
