The Dallas Cowboys are not expected to retain head coach Jason Garrett, according to ESPN’s Ed Werder.

The Cowboys are taking their time with this process with an “abundance of care and respect” for Garrett. Dallas will then interview potential candidates for the head coaching job, per Werder.

Garrett, who just finished his 10th season as the Cowboys’ coach, owns a regular-season record of 85-67 with three NFC East titles. He is the fifth longest-tenured coach in the NFL behind Bill Belichick, Sean Payton, Mike Tomlin and John Harbaugh.
