Reports: Jets open to trading Le’Veon Bell, Jamal Adams before deadline

NFL analyst Kyle Brandt joins Ken Reid for this week's Cover 4, identifying the origin of the Bears issues, how good the Patriots defence actually is, whether the 49ers are still underrated, and whether ghosts are real?

The New York Jets are looking to deal running back Le’Veon Bell before the NFL’s 4 p.m. trade deadline on Tuesday, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.

Bell is averaging a career-low 3.2 rushing yards per attempt and has 349 yards and one touchdown on the ground in seven games for the Jets this season. The Jets, meanwhile, have struggled to a 1-6 start to the campaign.

The three-time Pro Bowler signed a four-year, $52.5-million deal with New York in March.

The 27-year-old sat out the entire 2018 season as he held out for a new contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Jets are reportedly also open to trading Pro Bowl safety Jamal Adams, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, and the Dallas Cowboys are interested in the 24-year-old.

Adams was selected with the sixth pick of the 2017 draft and has quickly become a leader on the Jets defence and one of the top safeties in the NFL.
