It looks like the Los Angeles Rams will have a slightly different look heading into the 2020 NFL season and it has raised a lot of eyebrows, especially on social media.
A photo of what appears to be the new Rams logo was leaked on an NFL hat with Yahoo! Sports’ Charles Robinson confirming that this is the new crest.
The Rams posted a video of the current logo being taken down from the wall suggesting that an announcement was expected in the not-too-distant future.
Taking a deeper look at the logo, many couldn’t help but draw some comparisons to another NFL team that plays in Los Angeles.

How could you possibly design this Rams logo without seeing Chargers logos in it? pic.twitter.com/UlijBESvRT

Back on Jan. 3, Rams chief operating officer Kevin Demoff wrote in a letter to fans that the team would be unveiling a new logo, colour scheme and uniforms in preparation for their move to SoFi Stadium for this upcoming season.
According to the Athletic’s Rich Hammond, the team was expected to reveal the new logo before the NFL draft on April 23, then have the uniforms unveiled at a later date.
Since 1946, the Rams logo has been an iconic part of the team’s helmet design with a couple of variations that included the Ram, and just the horns.
The Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Buccaneers and Cleveland Browns are also expected to unveil new logos ahead of the 2020 season.
