It didn’t take long for offensive tackle Trent Brown to find a new team. Less than an hour into the open negotiation period for clubs to legally contact pending free agents, Brown has reportedly agreed to terms on a four-year deal with the Oakland Raiders that will make him the highest-paid offensive lineman in the league.
The contract, which according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is worth $66 million including $36.75 million in fully guaranteed money, cannot be made official until 4 p.m. ET on March 13.
Brown spent the 2018 season protecting Tom Brady’s blind side after being acquired from the San Francisco 49ers in a trade, and helped the team claim the Super Bowl.
