Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed’s career might be at risk as he deals with the latest of several concussions throughout his six years in the NFL, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.

Reed, a Pro Bowler in 2017, has been ruled out of the first three games of the season, including Washington’s upcoming Monday Night Football contest against the Chicago Bears. The former 2013 third-round pick and 2016 Pro Bowler suffered his latest concussion last month in a pre-season game against the Atlanta Falcons.

According to Schefter, some people within the team and the league are worried the 29-year-old may never be able to resume playing. He also reports that Reed will continue to undergo testing and would like to play again, but the danger might be too high for a player who suffered multiple concussions in his career.
