New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has a ligament issue on his right thumb after injuring it against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Rapoport added the injury has Brees concerned that it’s significant.

The veteran QB’s throwing hand collided with Aaron Donald’s hand as he released a throw on New Orleans’s second drive of the game.

Brees, the league’s career leader in passing yards, missed the rest of the game — a 27-9 loss in Los Angeles.
