It’s been a good day for Rob Gronkowski.
Hours after being announced as the GQ cover story for June, it was officially confirmed that the New England Patriots tight end would be featured on the cover of Madden NFL 17.
The decision was announced Thursday night on the 6 p.m. edition of ESPN’s SportsCenter.
Gronkowski caught 72 passes for 1,176 yards and 11 touchdowns last season.
One of the NFL’s most popular players, Gronkowski succeeds Odell Beckham Jr. on the video game’s cover.
Madden NFL 17 will be available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on Aug. 23.
