Russell Wilson, Ciara donate one million meals to local food bank

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and his wife, pop star Ciara, are donating one million meals to a local Seattle food bank to help people struggling during the coronavirus crisis.

The couple announced the donation to Food LifeLine on Twitter Tuesday.

“Together we will conquer this tough time,” Ciara said in a video announcing the donation.

COVID-19 has hit the Washington state region harder than most in the U.S. As of Tuesday, the New York Times reported had 894 cases and 54 deaths. Only New York state had more total cases and no other state has had more than 13 deaths.
