The Seattle Seahawks are one of four teams that can clinch a playoff spot with a win this weekend, as they visit the San Francisco 49ers as 6.5-point favourites on the Week 15 NFL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Seattle helped its own cause with a 21-7 victory over Minnesota on Monday night as 3-point home chalk, extending its lead over the Vikings atop the NFC wild-card race to 1.5 games going into Sunday afternoon’s Seahawks versus 49ers betting matchup at Levi’s Stadium.

The Seahawks have returned to playoff contention with four straight wins and have now won eight of 11 SU. Seattle has also emerged as a reliable bet, posting against the spread wins in three straight outings to improve to 8-2-1 ATS in its past 11, while covering in four straight on the road.

The 3-10 49ers quickly played themselves out of playoff contention this season, and have dropped 10 straight to Seattle since 2012. However, San Francisco has shown signs of life in recent home contests, winning SU and ATS in two of three including last weekend’s 20-14 victory over Denver as a 3-point underdog.

Elsewhere this week, the Dallas Cowboys can lock up the NFC East title with a win in their visit to Indianapolis as 3-point underdogs. As well, the Chicago Bears are poised to claim their first NFC North crown since 2010 as they host the Green Bay Packers as 5.5-point favourites at sports betting sites, while the Los Angeles Chargers can end a four-year playoff drought with a victory in Kansas City as 3.5-point underdogs on Thursday night.

The Cowboys are coming off their fifth straight SU and ATS victory, a 29-23 win over Philadelphia as 3.5-point home favourites that lifts them two games up on the Eagles and Washington Redskins in the division standings. Dallas has won outright in four straight as a betting underdog, but faces a Colts squad that has won six of seven SU, including four straight at home, to remain in the AFC wild card hunt.

The Bears silenced the naysayers with a smothering 15-6 win over the Los Angeles Rams as 3-point home underdogs on Sunday night, and have now allowed just 14.5 points per game in four straight home wins. However, the Packers ended a three-game SU slide with last weekend’s 34-20 rout of Atlanta, and are unbeaten in eight trips to Chicago since 2010.

In other NFL Week 15 matchups with playoff implications, the Houston Texans visit the New York Jets on Saturday as 6-point chalk, while the Rams host Philadelphia as 9-point betting favourites on Sunday Night Football.
