The Seattle Seahawks will not be appearing on the HBO series Hard Knocks this summer.
Seahawks GM John Schneider told Mike Florio on PFT Live Wednesday afternoon that they are “not interested” in appearing on Hard Knocks, an HBO show that goes inside an NFL team’s training camp.
Schneider told PFT Live that the club was not officially offered the chance to appear on the show but they were contacted by HBO to gauge their interest and they declined the opportunity.
Many believed head coach Pete Carroll would embrace the opportunity to give his team a chance to be showcased nationally but Schneider said they were not comfortable with the idea.
The Seahawks are not the first team to turn down HBO as the Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, Washington Redskins, San Francisco 49ers and Atlanta Falcons have all reportedly declined the chance to appear Hard Knocks.
