The Pittsburgh Steelers have traded wide receiver Martavis Bryant to the Oakland Raiders, the team announced Thursday.
In return, Pittsburgh gets Oakland’s third-round pick (79th overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Bryant had 50 receptions for 603 yards and three touchdowns with the Steelers last season after missing all of 2016 due to suspension. The Steelers have a surplus of offensive weapons thanks to the breakout play of rookie JuJu Smith-Schuster.
The speedy receiver is a strong deep threat, and will be a valuable weapon for quarterback Derek Carr. The Raiders also acquired Jordy Nelson earlier this off-season.
