Tom Brady ‘excited, humble and hungry’ to join Buccaneers

Legendary QB Joe Theismann joins Follow The Money to weigh in on why Tom Brady left the Patriots for the Bucs, says he looked at what was around him, vs. the weapons he'd have, also it's no coincidence that Super Bowl is set for Tampa in 2020-21.

Tom Brady‘s new NFL destination is now officially official, as the man himself took to Instagram to usher in his new chapter.

Brady posted a photo of himself looking through a document, which appears to be his new contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — the team he signed with on reportedly a two-year deal.

“Excited, humble and hungry,” he says to start the post. “…if there is one thing I have learned about football, it’s that nobody cares what you did last year or the year before that…you earn the trust and respect of those around through your commitment every single day.”

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Brady’s new deal is for two years and is worth $50 million – all of which is guaranteed. The contract also includes $9 million in incentives and prohibits trades and tags.

The $25-million per season price tag for Brady ranks him 12th among active quarterbacks in terms of salary per year, as per Spotrac.

Brady, who turns 43 this summer, left the New England Patriots as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, having led the Patriots to nine Super Bowls, including six wins.

He mentioned in his post that he’s eager to not just meet his new coaches and teammates, but to earn their trust. Then he decided that’s all he wanted to say.

“I have always believed that well done is better than well said, so I’m gonna not gonna say much more – I’m just gonna get to work!”
