Tony Dungy calls Josh McDaniels decision ‘indefensible’

When news broke on Tuesday night that Josh McDaniels had spurned the Indianapolis Colts to stay with the New England Patriots, plenty of shocked football pundits and fans weighed in on the controversial decision.

Former Colts coach and Hall of Famer Tony Dungy is the latest to weigh in, calling McDaniels’ decision to go back on his agreement to be Indy’s next head coach “indefensible.”

Dungy’s main sticking point with the decision was how McDaniels had already hired assistant coaches to join his staff in Indianapolis but then decided to stay with the Patriots. Those hires are now stuck under contract with the Colts, not knowing who their boss will be.
