The 59th NFL season in Buffalo Bills history didn’t get off to the most auspicious start.
In fact, the Bills downright stunk, dropping their season opener to the Baltimore Ravens 47-3.
Second-year quarterback Nathan Peterman, making just his third career start and, to put it lightly was abysmal, throwing for just 24 yards on 5-for-18 passing with two touchdowns.
The lone bright spot of this game for Buffalo came when No. 7 overall pick of the 2018 draft Josh Allen came in and made his NFL debut in the third quarter with the score 40-0, managing to lead the Bills down the field for a field goal, so Buffalo would at least not get shut out.
Allen finished the contest going 6-for-15 for 74 yards, a modest performance that looks light years ahead of the stinker Peterman put in.
Needless to say, a performance such as the one the Bills put in Sunday is going to lead to a lot of memes and reaction from all over the football spectrum, and Twitter definitely didn’t fail to deliver.
Here’s a quick glance at how Bills fans, and NFL onlookers, alike, took in that disastrous beginning to the Bills’ 2018 season.
