Canadian star Brooke Henderson withdrew from the LPGA Tour's Lotte Championship because of illness prior to her second round on Thursday in Hawaii.

The native of Smiths Falls, Ont., shot 2-over 74 in the opening round, which concluded with two bogeys and a double bogey on three of her final four holes.

Henderson was 10 strokes off the lead when she withdrew.

Two of Henderson's 10 career LPGA wins have come at the Lotte Championship (2018 and '19).

Henderson entered the week third in the LPGA season point standings.
