Hearn hit the ace during the third round on the par-3 hole No. 3, with his tee shot landing nearly at the pin before rolling in. Through 11 holes at the time of publication Hearn sat eight-under-par and was tied for 34th on the leaderboard.
This wasn’t the 42-year-old Brampton, Ont., native’s first ace on the PGA Tour. He hit one in 2017 at the Barracuda Championship near Lake Tahoe, with the ball rolling straight across most of the green before finding the pin.
