Canadians are lurking close to the top of the leaderboard on four major golf tours heading into the weekend.

Brooke Henderson (LPGA), Adam Hadwin (PGA), Mike Weir (PGA Tour Champions) and Brittany Marchand and Maude-Aimee Leblanc (Symetra Tour) will all be in the hunt heading into the final two rounds of their respective events.

Here's a look at how things shape up:

Henderson, from Smiths Falls, Ont., shot a 1-under 70 in the second round of the Cognizant Founders Cup to put her at 5 under for the tournament.

The Canadian is tied for ninth, five shots behind leader Jin Young Ko of South Korea in West Caldwell, N.J. Ko has four holes to go in her second round after play was suspended because of darkness on Friday.

Henderson is coming off a tie for second at last week's ShopRite LPGA Classic.

PGA Tour

Hadwin, from Abbotsford, B.C., carded a 7-under 64 in the second round of the Shriners Children's Open to rocket up the leaderboard in Las Vegas.

At 11 under for the tourney, Hadwin is three behind leader Sungjae Kim of South Korea.

Abbotsford's Nick Taylor (8 under), Taylor Pendrith of Richmond Hill, Ont. (7 under) and Corey Conners of Listowel, Ont. (6 under) also made the cut.

PGA Tour Champions

Weir, from Brights Grove, Ont., had birdies on three of the final six holes to finish at 3-under 69 in the opening round of Constellation Furyk & Friends in Jacksonville, Fla.

The Canadian is three strokes behind leaders Phil Mickelson and Matt Gogel.

Symetra Tour

Marchand, from Orangeville, Ont., shot a 9-under 63 in the second round of the season-ending Symetra Tour Championship in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Marchand is fifth at 10 under for the event, five strokes back of leader Daniela Iacobeli of the U.S.

Leblanc, from Sherbrooke, Que., is at 9 under.

Leblanc already has secured an LPGA Tour card as she is fifth on the Symetra money list. The top 10 after this event get a promotion.
