Dustin Johnson will be looking to rebound from his disappointing performance at the Masters when he returns to action this weekend at the RBC Heritage as the +1000 betting favourite at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Johnson extended his recent struggles by shooting five-over through the first two rounds and missing the cut at Augusta. He has now finished no better than 48th in his past three stroke play tournament appearances ahead of first-round action at the 2021 RBC Heritage on Thursday morning at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Despite his recent struggles, though, Johnson remains atop the World Golf Rankings. However, with second-ranked Justin Thomas rapidly closing the gap, Johnson can ill afford another disappointing outing at this event, where he has failed to finish better than 16th in his past three appearances.

Further down the RBC Heritage odds at betting sites, defending champion Webb Simpson sits second to Johnson as a +1200 wager. Patrick Cantlay trails at +1600, just ahead of Collin Morikawa at +2000, while Daniel Berger rounds out the list of favourites with +2200 odds.

Simpson has been a steady performer at this event in recent years. In addition to last year's narrow one-stroke win over Abraham Ancer, the 35-year-old North Carolina native also turned in a fifth-place performance in 2018. A two-time winner on the PGA Tour last season, Simpson has been regularly knocking on the door during the current campaign. He has finished sixth or better in two of his past six outings, and overcame a disastrous second round to claim a share of 12th place last weekend in Augusta.

Cantlay remains in the mix at the top of the RBC Heritage odds despite missing the cut at both the Masters and the Players Championship. However, the 29-year-old American also has a trio of top-three finishes to his credit this season, including a win at last fall's ZOZO Championship. He has also claimed third place in two of his past three appearances at the RBC Heritage.

Morikawa has been unable to maintain the momentum he gained from his victory in February's WGC-Workday Championship. The reigning PGA Championship winner has failed to crack the top ten since, but turned in a career-best 18th-place performance at the Masters.

Other notables on the golf odds for this week include Will Zalatoris, who aims to build on his second-place finish at Augusta as a +2500 wager. Corey Conners enters this weekend's tournament as the top Canadian, sporting +2800 odds, well ahead of Adam Hadwin at +10000, with Mackenzie Hughes at +15000, and Nick Taylor back at +25000.
