Bryson DeChambeau continued the steady play that has marked his 2020 season last weekend with a sixth-place finish at the Travelers Championship. DeChambeau has now finished among the top ten in each of his past six PGA Tour appearances, and travels to Detroit for this weekend’s Rocket Mortgage Classic as a +625 betting favourite on the golf odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Last weekend, DeChambeau continued to wow golf fans and rival players alike with his newfound power game. However, victory has eluded the 26-year-old, who will continue the search for his first win of the season when he tees up on Thursday morning for the 2020 edition of the Rocket Mortgage Classic at Detroit Golf Club.

Perhaps the biggest takeaway from DeChambeau’s performance at the Travelers Championship was his ability to avoid a meltdown. The No. 11-ranked golfer in the world shot 68 or better over each of his four rounds, avoiding the third-round struggles that took him out of contention in each of his past two outings.

DeChambeau is likely to face some stiff competition from Webb Simpson, who returns to action gunning for his third win of the season set as a +1100 second favourite at online betting sites. Simpson marched to an impressive win at the RBC Heritage two weeks ago, but elected to withdraw from the Travelers Championship after coming in contact with someone who had tested positive for COVID-19.

Simpson also earned the win at the Waste Management Phoenix Open back in early February, and like DeChambeau will be making his first-ever appearance at the Rocket Mortgage Classic.

Further down the Rocket Mortgage Classic odds, Patrick Reed sits alone at +1400, just ahead of Tyrell Hatton at +1600, Hideki Matsuyama at +1800, and Viktor Hovland at +2000.

Reed has struggled since the PGA Tour resumed earlier this month. The 2018 Masters champion tallied a seventh-place finish in his return to action at the Charles Schwab Challenge, but followed up by missing the cut at the RBC Heritage, and was forced to settle for a 24th-place finish last weekend.

Hatton has appeared in just five PGA Tour events this season, but has made them count. The 28-year-old Englishman picked up the win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and overcame a shaky start to claim a share of third place at the RBC Heritage in his only appearance since play resumed.

Other notables on the Rocket Mortgage Classic odds include Rickie Fowler, who lags at +2800, and Bubba Watson, who sits at +4000. Canadian Adam Hadwin is pegged at a distant +6600 after failing to crack the top 40 in each of his past two outings.
