ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. — Davis Love III and Davis Love IV did everything together Thursday at Sea Island.

They have the same pre-shot routine. Both birdied the opening hole. Both wound up with an even-par 70. And both have a lot of work to do to make up ground on Kevin Kisner and his opening 7-under 65 at the RSM Classic.

Kisner, who has done everything but win this year, eagled his next-to-last hole at the Plantation Course to take a one-shot lead based on par. Jeff Overton, David Hearn and Tom Hoge each shot 64 on the Seaside Course.

Love’s 21-year-old son, who goes by Dru, made his PGA Tour debut at the tournament his father hosts.
