Graham DeLaet and his wife Ruby are doing their best to aid the Fort McMurray fire victims.

DeLaet announced on Twitter Wednesday that during this week’s Wells Fargo Championship on the PGA Tour, he’ll donate $500 for every birdie he makes to the Canadian Red Cross. The Weyburn, Sask., native has set up The Graham & Ruby DeLaet Foundation for Fort Mac, which is accepting donations to help the cause.

The Fort McMurray wildfire has surpassed an area of 10,000 hectares, displacing nearly 90,000 people this week.

DeLaet hasn’t finished outside the top 30 in his last four PGA Tour events, including a tie for fifth at the Valspar Championship in Florida in March.
