Rory McIlroy has reportedly ended his relationship with Danish tennis star Caroline Wozniacki and, according to the Irish Independent, a photo that she tweeted of him sleeping was the final straw.

The Independent reports the couple split just days after the above photo was tweeted to Wozniacki’s more than 500,000 followers and a source for the Irish newspaper says the world’s No. 6 ranked golfer was not pleased with the picture.

“Rory was very upset by it and even Serena Williams pointed out – albeit in a joking way – it was a pretty mean thing to do.”

Wozniacki, the ninth ranked women’s tennis player in the world, was quite shaken by the breakup, according to the source.

“There were a lot of tears. She still has her profile picture on her social-networking site set as the two of them in happier times, but I can tell you the pair are no longer an item.”

The split with his long-time squeeze isn’t McIlroy’s only current distraction. The 24-year-old announced last month that he was leaving his management company, Horizon Sports Management, and would be starting his own. McIlroy is now suing Horizon.

After starting the year at No. 1, McIlroy struggled in 2013. He was unable to win a tournament and failed to qualify for the Tour Championship on the PGA Tour.
