The United States will be aiming to claim consecutive Ryder Cup titles for the first time in 25 years when they enter battle against Europe’s top golfers this weekend in the 42nd edition of the tournament as -135 favourites on the Ryder Cup odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
After falling to defeat in the three previous editions of the tournament, the Americans posted a decisive 17-11 victory two years ago, but are winless in their past five trips to Europe going into this weekend’s tournament at Le Golf National in Paris.
In addition to three of the four top-ranked golfers on the Official World Golf Rankings, Team USA will be anchored by Tiger Woods, who makes his first appearance at the Ryder Cup since 2012. Woods continued his successful return to the PGA Tour last weekend with his first tournament win since 2013, claiming a two-stroke victory at the Tour Championship to pay out on +1200 odds.
Woods is expected to continue his solid play at this year’s tournament, and is pegged as a solid +300 favourite to emerge as the top wild card on the Ryder Cup betting props. The 42-year-old also joins teammates Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Thomas, Brooks Koepka, and Phil Mickelson as a +1200 co-favourite to sink the winning putt at this year’s tournament
A third-place finish at the TOUR Championship as +900 chalk has returned American Dustin Johnson to his perch atop the world rankings, and the 34-year-old also leads the way as a +500 favourite to emerge as the United States’ top scorer.
A three-time winner on the PGA Tour this season, fourth-ranked Thomas follows Johnson with +600 odds to lead all Americans in scoring, and is also listed as +250 chalk to be the top rookie at this year’s event. Koepka, who is pegged at No. 3 on the rankings following his victories at the PGA Championship and the past two editions of the US Open, trails at +650.

Led by newly crowned FedEx Cup champion Justin Rose, Europe prepares to host this year’s tournament as +145 underdogs on the golf odds for the Ryder Cup.
Rose capped his FedEx Cup victory with a fourth-place finish at the Tour Championship. But despite the victory, Rose saw his brief reign atop the world rankings come to end, providing him with ample motivation to pay out as a +185 favourite as the top Englishman at the tournament.
Rory McIlroy joins Rose as a +250 co-favourite to be the top player from Great Britain or Ireland, while Spain’s Jon Rahm sports short +185 odds of finishing as Europe’s top rookie.
