Excitement has been building toward Wednesday’s 2014 Winter Classic at Michigan Stadium between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings.

Tuesday saw each team practice in the chilly weather, while also enjoying special moments on the ice with family. Two alumni games were held as well and the combination provided a tangibly magic New Year’s Eve atmosphere on Twitter leading into the main event.
