Canada's women's hockey team will face off against the United States once again, this time in an event organized by the PWHPA, Sportsnet's Jeff Marek reported on 32 Thoughts on Saturday night.

Though nothing is set in stone, the target date is March 12 in Pittsburgh at PPG Paints Arena, home of the Penguins.

With rosters almost identical to that of the gold-medal game played earlier this month in Beijing, Canada will be looking for another win after defeating the United States with a 3-2 win to take home Olympic old after falling to their rivals four years earlier in Pyeongchang.

The Penguins will reportedly be involved in the event, which will be the third event in a row for the PWHPA where there will be NHL team participation after stops in Ottawa, currently ongoing with live coverage on Sportsnet, and another in Washington.

Capturing the momentum of the rivalry and the gold-medal win for Canada, teams will have to work out details as both teams have college athletes on their rosters.
