The St. Louis Blues have placed forward Jaden Schwartz on injured reserve with a fractured ankle, the club announced via an official release.
Schwartz sustained the injury in practice Friday. He underwent surgery Friday and will be re-evaluated in 12 weeks.
The 23-year-old has four assists and plus-4 plus/minus rating through seven games this season.
The Blues are also without forward Paul Stastny, who is expected to miss at least five weeks with a broken foot.
