CALGARY – Andre Tourigny will replace Gilles Bouchard as head coach of Canada’s under-18 hockey team this summer.

The head coach of the Ottawa 67’s, Tourigny got the job after Bouchard left the QMJHL’s Rouyn-Noranda Huskies to take an assistant coach’s role with the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch.

Tourigny will work with assistants Ryan Oulahen of the OHL’s Flint Firebirds and Mitch Love of the WHL’s Saskatoon Blades at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup in Edmonton and Red Deer, Alta., in August.

Forty-four players will be invited to a selection camp to pick 22 players for the event.
