The Calgary Hitmen announced today that they will select fourth overall when the Western Hockey League holds its annual bantam draft on May 3 in Red Deer, Alta.
The pick was determined this morning during the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft Lottery involving the six non-playoff teams from the 2017-18 regular season. Nearly 100 Hitmen bantam picks have gone on to play for the franchise including Jake Virtanen (2011), Karl Alzner (2003) and Ryan Getzlaf (2000).
