Mark Kastelic returns as the Hitmen’s captain for the 2019-2020 season

The Calgary announced today the leadership group for the 2019/20 season. Mark Kastelic returns as team captain while Dakota Krebs, Jett Woo, Riley Stotts and Carson Focht will form the remainder of the team’s leadership core.

Kastelic, who enters his fifth campaign with Calgary, becomes the fourth player in franchise history to wear the ‘C’ in back-to-back seasons. Krebs and Stotts will each wear an ‘A’ for the second consecutive year. Dakota Krebs and Jett Woo will serve as full-time alternate captains while Riley Stotts and Carson Focht will share the third ‘A’.

“Our leadership core is a mature, experienced group of players who impact our locker room on and off the ice,” said head coach Steve Hamilton. “They set and maintain the standard of excellence that we expect from each player that wears the Hitmen jersey. We are very proud to have these five players represent our leadership group.”

Calgary visits the Edmonton Oil Kings Saturday evening at Rogers Place, before hosting the Saskatoon Blades on October 14th for a 2:00 p.m. matinee presented by Rangeland Engineering.
