Nick Suzuki’s three-point night leads OHL past Russia 4-2

SUDBURY, Ont. – Nick Suzuki scored twice, including the winner, and added an assist as the Ontario Hockey League all-stars beat Russia 4-2 on Monday in Game 4 of the Super Series.

Conor Timmins and Kevin Bahl also found the back of the net as the OHL reeled off three unanswered goals. Michael DiPietro made 23 saves for the win.

Andrey Altybarmakyan and Dmitry Sokolov replied for Russia. Vladislav Sukhachev stopped 26-of-30 shots in 44:40 of work before being replaced by Alexey Melnichuk, who turned aside all three shots he faced.

The OHL went 2 for 6 on the power play and the Russians could not score on their two man advantages.

A team of all-stars from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League will host the Russians on Tuesday in Charlottetown and in Moncton on Thursday.

The best-of-six series is currently tied 2-2.
