KITCHENER, Ont. — Aaron Berisha scored four goals and assisted on another as the London Knights won their fifth-straight game, routing the Kitchener Rangers 8-2 on Tuesday night in Ontario Hockey League action.
Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Mitchell Marner and Cliff Pu had a goal and an assist each for London (47-13-3). Chad Heffernan and Brandon Crawley added the others.
Matthew Tkachuk chipped in with his 75th assist of the season — his first in the OHL — to become the third Knights player to reach 100 points this year.
Gustaf Franzen and Darby Llewellyn scored for Kitchener (40-15-7).
Tyler Parsons stopped 22 shots for the win. Luke Opilka turned away 18-of-23 shots in 40:45 for the Rangers before giving way to Dawson Carty, who made four saves.
London’s Kole Sherwood received a match penalty for slew footing just past the midway point of the second period.
The Knights converted on four of their seven power-play opportunities while Kitchener was 0 for 5.
