SAGINAW, Mich. – Cole Perfetti had a pair of goals as the Saginaw Spirit downed the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 5-2 on Wednesday night in the first game of the Ontario Hockey League season.
Albert Michnac scored into an empty net and added two assists for Saginaw, while Mason Millman and Aidan Prueter also found the back of the net. Cameron Lamour made 23 saves for the win.
Ryan O’Rourke and Holden Wale replied for Sault Ste. Marie. Tyler Johnson stopped 38-of-42 shots in net.
The Spirit went 2 for 4 on the power play and the Greyhounds could not score on their three man advantages.
