OHL Roundup: Perreault has four points to lead Sting past Attack

SARNIA, Ont. — Jacob Perreault scored two goals and assisted on two more to lead the Sarnia Sting to a 7-3 victory over the Owen Sound Attack on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Ryan McGregor had a goal and three helpers for Sarnia (17-15-4) and Mitch Eliot, Curtis Egert, Hugo Leufvenius and Brayden Guy also scored.

Kevin Hancock, Daylon Groulx and Maksim Sushko scored for the Attack (19-12-3).

Sting goaltender Ethan Langevin made 18 saves.

Mack Guzda started in net for Owen Sound and stopped 20-of-26 shots through 42:02. Andrew MacLean stopped 9-of-10 attempts the rest of the way.

OTTAWA — Tye Felhaber had a goal and an assist to lift the 67’s over Niagara.

Cameron Tolnai, Noel Hoefenmayer and Kody Clark also scored for Ottawa (26-6-4).

Philip Tomasino had the lone goal for the IceDogs (20-8-5).

GENERALS 6 STEELEADS 2

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Allan McShane scored twice as Oshawa downed the Steelheads.

Danil Antropov, Mitchell Brewer, Anthony Salinitri and Serron Noel also scored for the Generals (21-12-2), who had six unanswered goals to erase a 2-0 deficit.

Alan Lyszczarczyk and Liam Ham supplied the offence for Mississauga (16-15-3).

FLINT, Mich. — Kyle Maksimovich scored three goals and set up another and Maxim Golod had two goals and two assists to power Erie over the Firebirds.

Chad Yetman had a goal and three helpers and Elias Cohen, Danial Singer and Daniel D’Amato also scored for the Otters (14-19-1).

Riley McCourt and Eric Uba found the back of the net for Flint (4-30-2).

KINGSTON, Ont. — Tyler Burnie scored shorthanded and Ryan Cranford had a goal and two assists in the Frontenacs win over Peterborough.

Brett Neumann, Anthony Aguanno, Ian Derungs and Dawson Baker also scored for Kingston (11-23-1).

Adam Timleck had the lone goal for the Petes (19-15-0).

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. — Cole Coskey registered the game winning goal 13:04 into the third period and Saginaw went on to defeat the Greyhounds.

Duncan Penman, Aidan Prueter and Blade Jenkins also scored for the Spirit (19-11-4).

Joe Carroll and Cole MacKay scored for Sault Ste. Marie (21-9-5).

SUDBURY, Ont. — Harrison Caines found the back of the net twice to lead North Bay over the Wolves.

Justin Brazeau, Mitchell Russell and Luke Moncada also scored for the Battalion (15-18-2).

Ryan O’Bonsawin scored shorthanded had goals for Sudbury (21-10-2) and Macauley Carson and Shane Bulitka had the others.

KITCHENER, Ont. — Luke Richardson stopped all 26 shots he faced as the Rangers blanked Barrie.

Isaac Langdon scored in the second period for Kitchener (14-17-3) and Nick McHugh added an empty-netter with five seconds left in the third.

Kai Edmonds made 28 saves for the Colts (15-18-1).

STORM 5 BULLDOGS 3

GUELPH, Ont. — Liam Hawel scored twice as Guelph defeated Hamilton.

Alexey Toropchenko, Jack Hanley and Pavel Gogolev also scored for the Storm (18-9-7). Logan Morrison, Brandon Saigeon and Isaac Nurse replied for the Bulldogs (15-18-2).

Anthony Popovich turned aside 37 shots for Guelph. Zachary Roy combined with Nick Donofrio for 27 saves for Hamilton.

The Bulldogs’ Navrin Mutter was given a match penalty for check to the head at 14:04 of the third period.

KNIGHTS 8 SPITFIRES 6

LONDON, Ont. — Paul Cotter scored twice and added two assists as London downed Windsor.

Josh Nelson, with a pair, Connor McMichael, Nathan Dunkley, Billy Moskal and Liam Foudy also scored for the Knights (24-5-3). Cole Purboo scored twice, while Louka Henault, Will Cuylle, Curtis Douglas and Daniel D’Amico had singles for the Spitfires (15-17-3).

Joseph Raaymakers turned aside 34 shots for London. Kari Piiroinen kicked out 27 shots for Windsor.
