VAL-D’OR, Que. – Drake Batherson’s game-winning goal near the midway point of the third period helped the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada top the Val-d’Or Foreurs 4-1 on Wednesday night to win their Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoff series.
Blainville-Boisbriand swept the best-of-seven series 4-0.
Thomas Ethier, Joel Teasdale and Alexander Katerinakis also scored for the Armada, while Emile Samson made 21 saves.
David Henley replied for the Foreurs and Mathieu Marquis stopped 27 shots.
Blainville-Boisbriand went 0 for 5 on the power play and Val-d’Or was 1 for 6 with the man advantage.

SYDNEY, N.S. — Jarrett Baker had the eventual winner early in the second period as Drummondville downed Cape Breton.
The Voltigeurs now hold a 3-1 series lead.
Cedric Desruisseaux, Nicolas Beaudin and Pavel Koltygin also scored for Drummondville.
Declan Smith was the lone scorer for the Screaming Eagles.

SHERBROOKE, Que. — Samuel Poulin’s goal with less than three minutes to play lifted the Phoenix over Rouyn-Noranda and tied their series 2-2.

Peter Abbandonato and Mathieu Boucher responded for the Huskies.
